You Have the Perfect Yard for Winter Solar Lights. Here’s How to Not Mess It Up.

If your backyard gets full sun all day, even in winter, you’re winning. Most of your neighbor’s problems (shade, no sun) don’t apply to you. Your issue is likely just snow cover and cheap batteries.
Your simple 3-step winter plan:
After it snows, take 2 minutes with a broom to swipe off the panels. This is 90% of the battle for you.
On December 1st, replace the batteries in your key lights (the ones by the garage and patio door) with fresh high-mAh NiMH ones. Mark your calendar to do it again in February if it’s a brutal winter.
Stop using “motion-sensor” mode. You have enough sun to charge them for “all-night” dim mode. Constant light is better for security and looks nicer.
You’ve got the gold-standard setup. Just don’t let laziness with snow ruin it.
